A traditional fiddle tune from the Walden’s Ridge/Sequatchie Valley area near Chattanooga, Tennessee. Blaine Smith (1915-1997) learned this tune from Bob Douglas in the 1920s. The tune exemplifies the “Chattanooga style” of fiddling – simple melodies with minimal ornamentation, backed by basic rhythm guitar.
