Christian Howes’s Creative Strings Workshop runs at Christmount Retreat and Conference Center near Black Mountain, NC; Session A (June 21–26, 2026) features bluegrass, roots, and country fiddle specialist Austin Scelzo alongside the core Creative Strings faculty (Christian Howes, Camille Vogley-Howes, Karl Henry) plus Madelyn ilana and Lana Auerbach. The five-day retreat combines technique, improvisation, jam sessions, and performance for about 30 participants.
