An 1875 American parlor song by George W. Persley, in which a wife tells Barney of her longing for her home beyond the sea — notable chiefly as the song that prompted Persley’s friend Thomas Westendorf to write the answer, “I’ll Take You Home Again, Kathleen,” which eclipsed it completely. Its presence in this 1920 collection alongside “Kathleen” preserves the pair.
