A tune documented in Samuel Bayard’s Dance to the Fiddle, March to the Fife, where it also carries the title “Blockhouse Dutchman.” Bayard noted it was popular in southwestern Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania fiddler Bill Gipe played it as “Boxy Foxy” in a field recording made by Tracy Schwarz.
