A traditional Old Time breakdown in D major, played in standard or ADae tuning, associated with Pike County, Kentucky fiddler Owen “Snake” Chapman (1919–2003), who learned it from his father G.W. Chapman. Chapman’s own recording appears on Up in Chapman’s Hollow (Rounder 0378, 1996), and the tune also appears on Brad Leftwich’s Say Old Man (County 2714, 1996) and Bruce Greene and Hilary Dirlam’s Fiddler’s Dozen (McDirlam Greene Productions, 1985).
