A traditional Old Time breakdown and play-party song in G major, documented in the Titon version from Estill Bingham (1899–1990) of Bell County, Kentucky. The tune was noted by Cecil Sharp in Kentucky in 1917, appeared in the 1915 Berea fiddle tune lists, and was in the wider upland South repertoire; G.B. Grayson and Henry Whitter recorded it for Victor in October 1929 (Victor VI V-40268). Tommy Jarrell recorded it on Pickin’ on Tommy’s Porch (County 778, 1984). Tuning: GDad
