Virginia Reels, Selected and Arranged for the Piano Forte (Baltimore: Geo. Willig, 1839) is a collection of 35 dance tunes arranged for piano by G. P. Knauff, a German-born music teacher and piano merchant based in Farmville, Virginia. Published in four separately issued pamphlets, it is the earliest known printed collection of dance tunes from the American South. The tunes are notated with melody in the right hand and basic left-hand accompaniment, intended for amateur piano players.
